Kate Middleton dress is with a combination Chantilly lace and English Cluny lace together with an ivory and white satin. The flowers are of rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock design which were hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered.  The back of the dress of with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops.

Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision which thus characterizes Alexander McQueen’s work. Even her shoe is hand made also by McQueen, it is of ivory duchesse satin and lace.
